Somerset chief executive Guy Lavender says supporters can look forward to an exciting 2016 season after a busy winter at Taunton.

New captain Chris Rogers is just one of the club's high-profile signings, with Chris Gayle and Mahela Jayawardene joining for the NatWest T20 Blast and Yasir Arafat arriving on loan from Hampshire. The new Somerset Pavilion is also complete and the newly-renamed Cooper Associates County Ground looks set for a bright future. It will host a series of international fixtures from 2017 onwards, with new floodlights - seen as "vital to the long-term future of the club" - set to be in place from 2018.
